Are you a MEDDLER? Do you know anyone who is ? A meddler is someone who interferes needlessly in other's affairs. Some wise person once said. "He who meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a passing dog by the ears."

Yes it's a common word in the USA. But not so much in other languages, I don't think. In any case, I was just thinking about whether any of us have to deal with someone like that on a regular basis.

I know a few people like that too. I often wonder WHYdo some persons invite themselves into someone else's drama

When I have something important going on I really hate anyone who meddles if they don't really know the situation.

And most persons actually DON'T know the situation. Some persons really do want to help, but it's best to just stay out of the situation unless you are asked.

No, I do not see myself as a meddler. I do know quite a few people who are...although they probably don't think they are.
