Which Music App Do You Prefer?

Occasionally I use Pandora. That was the first music site I had ever used. Back in the day I would always discover new music through them. Nowadays I cannot use Pandora for more than a couple days. They repeat the same 50 songs it seems. And the amount of ads is just overwhelming. I understand that they want you to purchase their premium service. But an ad between almost every song, is way worse than just listening to the local radio.
I liked the Beats by Dr Dre music app. I used to purchase their subscription back when I made a lot more money. I loved the playlists they had. You just share your music tastes and it is almost as if they read your mind for what you want to listen to.
For now I just use the YouTube app that is already pre- downloaded on my phone.

I use Pandora most of the time. I believe you can add variety to the "station" that you create by adding more musicians that you "like" or want to hear. The commercials piss me off though. We have a Sirius/XM subscription so I really need to be better about listening to that, especially since my husband hooked up our Alexa to that.

I added extra artists and songs to the variety, it definitely does help. Sirius/XM is awesome. My parents are subscribed to that in their car, they have a good variety of stations to chose from.

@taciaelisepeace I only listen to Radio Margaritaville. I'm a Parrothead. I probably should check out No Shoes Nation, though, because I do love Kenny Chesney. It is funny b/c on Pandora I listen to the Kenny Chesney station instead of Jimmy Buffett. Not sure why.

I use my iPod. It has 8,700 songs on it. And no commercial interruptions. (Okay, that's not completely true: there are some commercials that country singers did way back when that I have on there.)

I have a number of stations on Pandora and play it nightly during dinner, usually piano jazz.

I am using Spotify right now. I also use i heart radio which comes with my computer. Spotify lets you make your own playlists which I like and they have many artists and songs to choose from.

When I am not broke, like I am now. I love Spotify. Spotify is 10 dollars a month (they have a discount for students!) and you can create your own playlist. They have nearly every song, even songs from artist that aren't well known. Also you can have the music downloaded so that you can listen to it without using up your data.
