Good Morning, Reaching Office Is Really Tiring.

Good Morning, how much time does it cost you to reach to your work place from your home? I am really tired it takes me more than 2 hours to reach to office daily. 2+2 Morning and Evenings that makes it 4 hours of traveling daily that is almost half the time of my working hours. You don't get stressed out more working as much as you get traveling daily. Its more worst when you are working woman who has to take care of both the house and professional life. Luck I have my husband who lends me a helping hand at home or else it would be a tough job handling the daily routine. What about you, hows it all with you? Image Credit:- Pixabay

Tiring for you seriously. It takes half an hour for me. In between the route you can watch movies, listen to songs or something that would help help you to spend your time constructively.

I am a student .Even though I am going college through college bus it takes atleast one hour. If not college bus it would take atleast 2 hours. Feeling frustrated and lost my 20 % of the time in travel.

Commuting in Indian cities for working woman is pain in neck and it affects their health. My sympathies are with you. It takes one hour in the morning and one and a quarter hour in the evening for me to commute from my home to work place and vice versa. Travelling sucks you.

@kavinitu Travelling in a local train for women is really a hard task, specially, when work place is for away from the place of residence. I have seen and read that Mumbai locals are very crowded and it is like winning a castle, every-time one travels in local and completes his/her journey. Delhi Metro trains are much better and safer than Mumbai local trains but in peak hours they remain crowded. The frequency of Delhi Metro in the peak hours is just 2 minutes, therefore, one faces very little problem in catching the next Metro train.

Yeah it really does, and specially for women its more tiring specially having only two to three compartments on local trains. I have to spend almost half of my working hours traveling, its the 23rd station from mine to my office daily and back the same. I don't know hows it in Delhi but have ever been in Mumbai Locals they have the worst crowd you could ever come across.

@dpk262006 So nice to hear that, you have heard everything right about mumbai local. Here we have metros trains but they take different routes not the one where I have to reach. Hope things change for good in coming years, you take care and have a safe journey on regular days

@kavinitu My husband was my boss, of course there were no excuses. When you work for yourself, you work even when you are sick and you never count how many hours you worked during a day.

@LadyDuck So nice of your husband being your boss, I agree with you on that when you work for your own-self you never get tired or irritated in any conditions you are. Was it your family business that you were in with your husband?

That's something anybody could have dreamed off, but then there would be less chances of giving excuses that you are not well The boss would straight away come down with the work and would say you continue in bed, just kidding that was really nice part of your journey that you had a office in the building you lived

oh my goodness that is really very tiring, why couldn't you get boarding house near the place of your work so you won't bear the hardship of travelling?

Affording even a house on rent would be far away from imagination near our office residence, the rent would twice as what I earn

Oh my 4 hrs of travelling every day I would be exhausted morning itself. If you are a renter try the place near to your office instead of wasting time in travelling.

@kavinitu. I am blessed to work from my home and for myself. I never drove to my knowledge, it was always public transportation. You do lose a lot of time that you will never recover. Just dealing with others personalities daily back then left you a bit wore out. Thank God you have a team member, your husband. I guess I would encourage you to play some motivating vids/audio, relaxing music w/o lyrics during these times and refresh/empower your mind, spirit, soul and body. No stress allowed. Get back centered/passionate about the awesome life you are living. Do not let routine steal from you anymore. Be Blessed. Prosperity 2018.

Any possibility of you moving closer to your work or change your workplace? The amount of time that you spend every day on the road is totally "insane".

Yes dear its a tough life being a housewife and working woman both at the same time. I do listen to some motivational videos and songs and at times some of favorite recipe videos on the move. Yeah I read books but I prefer them while at home not while traveling yeah I read eBooks on the phone. How about you how do you manage your daily routine?

I know this stressful feeling of traveling longer hours everyday for work because I already experienced it. So I'm looking for a work nearby and will quit in my current job.
