In the Summer of 2017 I was down in Fort Erie visiting family, I was walking my dog and there was a hole in a tree beside the sidewalk,
I mustered up some bravery and managed to take this shot, Closest I can go without a macro lens,
I had to make sure not to upset the Bee's and I was quick about it :)

Thanks! I didn't actually have to escape, Bee's will sometimes understand if you dont show yourself as a threat, Just dont go too close and don't disturb what their doing when they are working.

That is a very cool shot.. I am not sure I would have been brave enough to get this shot.. but I have an awesome ZOOM.. so i wouldn't have had to get all that close. But I love the shot!! I take tons of nature photos and always trying to get more and new animals etc....

I would not have dared to get that close to a bee tree. You are very lucky you didn't get stung. Bees may be harmless when out foraging, but they really do attack when someone gets close to their hive.
