Leonardo Playing A Serial Killer?

This book ,The Devil In The White City, published in 2003 by Erik Larson, is being adapted into a movie. Leonardo DiCaprio bought the rights to the book in 2010. The movie is in development with Martin Scorsese signed as the director. Leonardo will play Dr.H.H. Holmes, "the most notorious serial killer in Chicago history". This is the historical fiction story of Dr. H.H.Holmes whose real name was Herman Webster Mudgett (May 16, 1861 – May 7, 1896). He built The Murder Castle in Chicago about the time of the Chicago World's Fair of 1893. He was convicted of one murder for which he was hanged in 1894. He could of killed anywhere from 20 to 200. His "Castle" is, if nothing else, intriguing with sound proofed bedrooms, vent where gas would come into the rooms, stairways that ended abruptly, and, with a basement full of huge furnaces, acid baths and lime pits to get rid of the murdered bodies. There have been many tv shows, movies and documentaries done about this character. I will be interested to see what they do with Leonardo playing the villain.
