YouTube again changed their rules to monetize any video.
Previously it has like 10,000 views to eligible for monetization but now you have to get 1000 subs and 4000 hours watch time in previous 12 months?? This is the eligibility criteria to put ads on your content.
Are you kidding me?

@shinysylvia So you mean the number of views won't matter anymore?

YouTube needs more quality content. That's why 4000 hours is a must to monetize. If people have watched 4000 hours of your content then you create some quality and serious content in your channel and YouTube wants these quality creators to come up in the future.

I recently crossed 10k views and then was happy to see earning some cents of the video.. and suddenly this bomb well as a small YouTuber this is very disappointing
But still I would continue making videos. I need more 1,90,000 min and only 867 more Subscriber required hahaha hope to reach it one day

So, were you able to comply with the new rules? Some of my friends received a notification that their youtube channel is not anymore eligible for monetization.

I was planning to create some videos on photography and some tutorials, but these news got me crazy. How can small creators show their creativity now?

Lets say you can purchase 1000 subs but who will watch upto 4000 hours? Small youtubers won't able to make money of it anymore.
