Happy Saturday! Things are looking up on the parental front (today, anyway). That makes me feel better. Of course, music makes me feel better, too, and I'll give you another song on my list of favorites of songs with "wind" in the title. Here's the next song.
#7: Wild Wild Wind - Stonewall Jackson
I used this in my "wild" countdown. I guess I've used it up now, because there's only two words in the title: "wild" and "wind."
As I mention every time I use this should-be Hall of Famer, his real name is "Stonewall Jackson." He's supposedly a relative of the famous Confederate general. His history in country music is long and marvelous.
And even you non-country folks know one song of his, if you're of a certain age:
Now old Adam was the first in history
With an apple he was tempted and deceived
Just for spite the devil made him take a bite
And that's where ol' Adam met his Waterloo
That song -- "Waterloo" -- was a major crossover in 1959.
This was not a crossover hit. In fact, this was released as a single that found itself sandwiched between two top ten hits, "Old Showboat" and his second and final #1 hit "BJ the DJ." With that kind of clout surrounding it, it's no real surprise this song has faded into relative obscurity....sadly, much like the fabulous country singer who recorded it.

Music has no expiration date. You just may have not yet heard the song that “hits you” and moves you, then discovered it was released in 1967.

@Dirren_Ronaldo — then I would say the more appropriate term is this isn’t “your type” of music. And, truthfully, old country music isn’t a lot of people’s “type” of music. That’s why modern country music sounds more like Pharrell Williams than Hank Williams.

Any idea why no album since 1983? His suit against the Grand Ole Opry was decades later.
