I was a strict Republican in high school/beginning of college, but have since changed to Democrat. I have become so liberal over the past few years. I am curious what your thoughts are on our current political situation here in the U.S. I am not here to bash anyone's views or try to pursuade you to believe how I do - only curious.

I am republican and have been since I was 18. I went that route because my father told me I had to registers a Democrat proved him wrong....lol I use to vote straight party but now I sit and read and watch whats going on and what who has to say about who before I vote. I don't always vote straight republican now. I voted to put Bush back in office this last time and well I know they aren't allowed to run three times in a row anymore and if they were he would not get my vote. I really don't agree with everything he is doing right now. But nor do I hate him. He is only human and well every president we put in office does something stupid anyways. But I will say this to all the American people out there... You don't vote then please don't complain about what is in office

I couldn't agree with you more regarding voting habits. I get so sick and tired of Americans complaining how terrible the governement is, but then they don't go and vote. I have voted in every election possible since I turned 18, with the exception of a couple while I traveled for a company I used to work for.
I just wanted to clarify that the reason I am choosing to vote straight party this year and during the upcoming presidential election is because we have had the run of the Republicans long enough (of course, just my personal opinion). I feel that the Democrats (as a whole) have a better agenda for the people of our country, especially our soldiers. But, no matter the party, there are always going to be some bad apples in the bunch. Guess we'll see what happes in '08!
