Calling All Coffee Lovers!

Howdy Friends! Happy Sunday! I'm sitting here drinking my coffee which, as many of you know, is currently being served sans sweet stuff. Although I don't always use much to sweeten my coffee, I've always liked my coffee at least a little sweet. But sugar detox has equaled no sugar, syrup, chocolate, etc. Instead, I'm drinking my Dunkin' Donuts coffee with half and half.
So that brings me to my question for you folks who truly appreciate the taste of good coffee. In other words, if you start your day with Folgers, this does not apply to you. Without sugar, the flavor of the coffee stands out more. I'm interested in trying some other GOOD coffee beans.
If you are a black coffee drinker or just don't mask the flavor with anything besides little cream, especially, I'd love to hear what you think makes the best coffee.

I love coffee but I dont have expensive taste. I love Starbucks, Caribou, and even Walmarts generic coffee (the donut shop kind, I like it!) I also have been trying flavored coffees like Camerons Cinnamon kind. It is amazing with a splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

I often drink LaVazza which is from Italy. I've also had Illy.

@jillybean1222 I like Illy more than Lavazza. We have a good coffee here in Switzerland, it is roasted locally "Chicco C'Oro".

I had my younger days of cream and sugar with a little coffee . My dad always told me drinking coffee black was the "true way" - that way you get the real taste of the coffee. So for a long time now I've been drinking it black (ok, sometimes with a touch of unsweetened almond milk). We get the beans (take your pick there are tons of varieties out there) and grind 'em up at home . . . but if it's on sale, I'll get decent quality pre-ground for the convenience.

For me its gotta be my Maxwell House coffee.
I don't own an individual serving coffee maker, I like it brewed by the pot, seems more like true coffee to me.
I do take mine with a bit of sweetner and a dash of 1% milk.
Have you tried adding a dash of cinnamon to the basket before you begin the brew? That has a unique taste.

I drink my coffee black and start my day with Folgers. Sorry I'm not into other coffee brands except Kcups for my Keurig which is a variety of flavored and non flavored coffees.

Try Jamaican Blue Mountain. It's an amazing coffee! It's not a brand, it's a type of coffee. I usually buy mine at Fresh Market, but I think Whole Foods or even Trader Joes might have it also. It's a little pricey, but to me it's well worth it.

@moffittjc when i looked online, it was really expensive. Do you pay that much? Or do you get one of the blends?

I like a good locally roasted abd brewed coffee a lot, but for daily use we buy whole bean Columbia Supremo at Costco, grind it at home and make eight or ten cups in a drip maker. (Anne has had this Capezio maker that grinds and makes the coffee for years, longer than I have been around.) I really like Sumatran mdeium to dark roast too.
Always black for me, no sugar.

@jillybean1222 Now if you go to 1% milk, you will drop a lot more calories yet.

My coffee of choice (in house) is Folgers. Finances mean that sometimes we drink Maxwell House instead.
My husband and myself use use the tiniest bit of half and half in our coffee. If we go out for coffee we request 1/2 a cream for each. In a restaurant we'll share the little creamer.
Add sugar to the coffee and I'll turn up my nose. I think it tastes nasty and all I taste is the sugar.

Eight O`clock coffee - original, Community coffee- breakfast blend and Gevalia -Medium roast.
My favorite is duckin donuts coffee when out and about but I do not buy it to make at home.
I always use coupons to get my coffee, I have at least a dozen bags.

I had to switch to decaf, against my will, of course. I'm an avid coffee drinker, who settled for the Big Lot brand of coffee, in the past. Yes, I only drink a little half/half in my coffee. The decaffeinated coffee I'm buying now is Tim Horton's in a foil bag. It's available in Michigan at the Super WalMart and Meijer's Store, also.
