Its been a month

One month ago today the Winter Solstice arrived. We feasted and celebrated. I lit the oil lamp and asked for guidance through our upcoming winter days.
Since then we have been blessed with mostly mild weather. Icy mornings have not been fun but they have been not so intense. I am quite aware that so far I have been spoiled. And I am loving it.
During this winter month I found a water exercise class. I've participated in it four times. I am learning as I go: last class the teach told us to stomp our feet as we exercised. Now my left ankle is having a tantrum so for me, that stomp biz is out. I also slapped my fear aside about horses. I rode/ more properly sat a horse for a few moments. More reality: my left knee is too ill for that to be a go again.
During this winter month I wrote a ten page short story, digging into facts, blending them with felt emotions. I also started on another short story, different locale, different subject.
During this winter month I tried to stay engaged in my physical landscape, noting the wild birds, tidying and walking.
During this winter month hubby took a few days off work. His presence welcome and a joy.
Finally: hubby and I walked again together, this time for America and her citizen's rights, we walked in the Women's March with 170 other patriots. We walked through to the other side, our silly Sally dog with us. I'm glad we did.

Glad winter's bite has been a gentle one for you, as it has here too. 46 degrees today with rain, of course. Thousands turned out for the march here yesterday. We planned to go, but I really was not feeling well enough yet to get out and stand around in the rain.

@JamesHxstatic I know someone else who lives in your area. She showed amazing photos of huge crowds of patriots. Your weather sounds warmer than mine though we are dealing with wind gusts and some rain.

@JamesHxstatic A bit ago we had a wind gust that blew something around loudly. Got the dogs to barking.

It's been so wintery, my walks have been brief or non existent. Yesterday 2 km....hopefully today's weather stays decent for another hour. I'm going to ail for 3 km today.

@Morleyhunt 40 is very nice. I hope my world reaches that for an hour or so today. The lovely sunrise went that away and now its gray and rather ugly out plus the poopy wind.

Glad it has been a mild winter for you there in Moses Lake. Sounds like you've been doing a lot to keep busy.

Doesn't even seem like Winter has been here a month. Yeah there's been lots of cold days /nights but without snow, just doesn't feel it to me

We keep the solstice here too :-)
Ah yes, always respect your body when it comes to those exercise classes. I used to love water aerobics -- you're inspiring me to check it out
Here's the daylight getting longer and a great 2018

@FayeHazel Then Goddess bless you. I went to water exercises again this morning. The teacher wants us to get a sweaty good workout. I try to but my first goal is to move my limbs without harm so I adapt and adapt. I still get tons more movement in water than out so its all good.
