Freaked Out Cat Slave

Its been over a week since I could get the dogs out of the backyard and take them for a long walk on the property, they have plenty of running room but they love the wild. Today it was 70 degrees F and I got outside for a couple hours and spooky, the cat, watched me and the dogs from the deck. When I put them back up I went to work with the plants, I put the tomatoes into bigger pots, the ones I had left from last week. The cat found me and followed me in the house, then back out. I added soil to the pots he was standing there watching. I removed a plant, he was there. I planted it he was there. This went on while potting up 7 plants. I asked him was he coming in and he meowed and came on inside, walking back and forth right beside me the whole time. I was wondering what the hell was wrong with him. Finally he was on my nerves and I told him to go lay down, instead he went to the back door and sat. I opened it he went out. He came back in when Tony got home an hour later, I sat with him laying by my feet I would talk to him and he just laid his ears flat. Tony said he was just jealous of the dogs and could smell the dogs on me. Well! he made sure he marked me up with his face scent before going back outside. Freaked out by his behavior.
