I attended a training in Gender and Development (GAD) at St. Ellis Hotel the whole day. While we were at the training hall, I already heard fellow participants talking about the eruption and the raising of the alert level to 4. After the morning session, my office asked me if I want to see the eruption. We went to the 6th floor and got a chance to get a photo of the eruption. People who are affected were already evacuated to the safe places in the province.

It's horrible, I guess they some how predicted this will happen someday? I hope the people over there had already left before the ashes reach them.

@Letranknight2015 Thank you. We are more than 10 kilometers away from the area. We can watch the explosion when we are on top of big buildings or there are some areas where we can see the volcano clearly. An example of a good view is from another mountain.

@ARIES1973 It's better to stay away from the area of explosion if you can.

Yes, I am from Legazpi City, Albay. Thank you. I hope everyone is safe. The people thought everything is already okay so the local government allowed the evacuees to go home. But here comes the major explosion so, the LGU implemented a forced evacuation immediately. Thank you for dropping by.

Thank you. Yeah, it's really dangerous I hope it would stop soon. We are far from the area and the authorities are continuously monitoring the activities of the volcano.

I'm sure there was a lot of movement when the eruption occurred. Falls in the Natural Disasters category.

The volcanologists are closely monitoring the activities of the volcano since Mayon is an active volcano. To date, it already has 52 historical eruptions.
