Ok ok, the two don't really go together, right?
Well folks, I'm here to tell ya that the man was not above makin money ..... I just wonder how much he was paid to do this:
Oh, I took the picture above in 1997 when the eastern slopes of the Franklins were covered in poppies, I keep dreaming it'll happen again one day.
Hosted by Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, this ground-breaking variety show was a fast moving barrage of jokes, one-liners, running skits, musical numbers and mad...

Many famous people made guest appearances on Laugh In including President Nixon. It was the hip thing to do then.

Your photo is beautiful, it should be on a calendar! Yes, I loved John Wayne and Laugh-In was a very funny show! Goldie Hawn, playing the part of a dumb blonde and look how wealthy it got her:)

I liked some of John Wayne's movies. I loved Laugh In. It was one of the very first somewhat controversial TV shows back in its day, along with Rowan and Martin.

Maybe @Gita17112016 there were a lot of cowboy movies being made when John Wayne was alive.

Laugh-in was ahead of its time. If you watch Saturday Night Live many of the stuff they do is using the Laugh-in format (especially from the original cast). I still watch the re-runs on a channel called "Decades."

@rebelann I wonder if U Tube has any Laugh-In episodes or clips to watch. That might be worth a look?

Ought to be funny enough to be worth watching, if I weren't in a public place with sound disabled (I almost always am). My Significant Other was a Green Beret in Vietnam and up-voted John Wayne's portrayal of one...and I like Goldie Hawn (a fellow knitter whom I met in real life in a wool shop).
