Ive been away for a long time. Coming back to get my feet wet and check out how this site is going..I haven't written much over the last couple years Ive been away caring for my mom. She passed away Jan 1. Im finding myself alittle lost and not sure where Im going from here but hoping that coming here and writing might just keep me a little sane.
The year started off awful Im hoping that things get better but dealing with grief is not an easy road for me to be going down at this point. So I hope putting it out there will help me deal with all these crazy emotions Im feeling. Ive thrown myself in to the adult coloring books to deal with the stress. Does anyone else here do them?

There is another member here who does the adult color books and posts photos of them. Can't think of her name to tag her though. I am so sorry to hear your grief over your mothers passing. Welcome back and I hope you find the comfort here your looking for. I know mylot has helped keep me sane at times

I have really missed you and I'm so sorry about your mom. The important thing to understand is you need to grieve and cry and yell, throw things and feel awful... and know its normal. You are allowed to grieve so do it, no matter how old your mother was, you will remember her and miss here more times than you can imagine. Big hugs to you and I hope to see you here more often.

@cyberrat I suggested the library because they can find anything. I've never purchased anything from ebay - if its cheap, buy it, you might not like the book or the woman who wrote it, but she and I seemed to meld together when I was grieving the loss of two and dealing with a 4 year old grieving. That was heart breaking... Big hugs to you! And I have
suggested to many when grieving on line.

My condolences, my mom passed the day before thanksgiving in 2015, I didn't write much about it but it was a tremendous help to be able to clown around on Mylot.
It is never easy to lose our parents, hopefully time will soften the hurt.
