Girl, I suffered through shingles when I was about 14. Most painful experience ever! Felt like a zipper was stuck in the skin on my back and someone was constantly zipping my skin up and down. Prescription Medication relieved me in hours. My parents didn’t even remember that I had the chicken pox when I was younger. My fear is that it will return (because It can). Sorry you’re going through this pain, hopefully the meds kick in soon and you’re back to normal.

I thought usually elderly people get shingles. It is said if you haven't had chicken pox then you are more likely to get shingles. I hope you feel better. Have you been around anyone who has had shingles? I heard that it is contagious. Maybe doing a detox might be helpful. I've never heard of someone getting it 3 times before. I hope you feel better soon.

If you have shingles then you had chicken pox in the past! The virus or whatever that causes chicken pox stays dormant in your system and when your immune system is comprised then shingles comes out. If you have chicken pox or shingles you can spread chicken pox to anyone who has never had it like young unvaccinated children. If they've been vaccinated or had chicken pox then you can't infect them.

Wow you are young to have had it 3 times! Have they figured out what is wrong that is causing it? My late husband got it when he was around 22. Usually only people with comprised immune systems get it like the elderly. They have a shot you can get after 60. Maybe you can get it early since you keep getting it!

That really stinks but there must be an important reason they are not letting you get it. Maybe it causes fertility issues or something.

You are young for the vaccine, i think you need to be 60 for it, but at CVC the pharmacist will give it but it will cost $250 at least her. If you are under 60 the ins. won't cover it.
My mom had it and it was very painful.. try and see a doctor if you haven't already.
