My failed MyLot experiment for this morning

I have been feeling conversational this morning, and have no real obligations (I'm working on a speaker at the same time, little by little), so I thought I'd be a commenting machine but not write a post. So far, I've responded to dozens of comments on fairly recent posts that I never got to, left comments on others' posts, and in general had a good time. I've noticed that my comments are getting comments back--MyLot is not a ghost town this morning--so I've been involved in several conversations, some of them quite funny (my favorite kind). My notifications keep coming in, so I haven't had to write a post to stay busy. So where's the failure? Well, I noticed after a couple of hours that my bank wasn't moving! Well, it wasn't frozen, but it was moving at a rate of $0000.0075/hour, which just wasn't good enough for this Capitalist. So I decided I'd better write a post, to go along with all of the comments, but all I can think of to write about is the vintage loudspeaker I'm working on. It's an unusual JBL, but loudspeaker posts are pretty boring to most, so I'm at a loss for what to write about. I need a post! Any ideas?

I noticed I get much more interactions when I comment on dozens of posts verses creating my own post. But I yield much more from my own posts verses commenting on others. Who knows how they calculate these things haha.

@TheHorse Very true! Also, I've noticed the "best" yeild 10+ comments on posts where they barely talk about anything interesting. They just share their day or what they had for dinner--something real basic.

I live in an area that is described as "post rock country" so maybe you could find one there. I often see on the weekend that the bank does not update as much. Then it comes in a cluster.

Exactly. I too noticed that. Though with a post, he doesn't lose time in opening that many posts, those fractions of seconds count and add up to quite a bit.

Well, the one I'm working on is one of a pair of JBL C-46 "Minigons." They're supposed to sound really good (I won't get to hear), and were considered "elite" in their day (late '60s). Let me see if I have a "before" or "during" picture on my desktop. I'm starting to oil them up now.
