Yentl.... one of those classic movies...

... which I like to repeat watching. It's a movie from 1983 about the jewish life beginning the 20th century. A time where men dedicated life to study, meanwhile women dedicated their time being a housewife. What's the real sense of life? This is a main question treated in that movie as well as the message that we don't have to miss the sense of life meanwhile we struggle reaching our dreams, even if that means that we have to run some risks. It's not always easy to take some decisions. It's one of those movies I love to wacht again and again ones in the time.

Personaly, I like it as it contains a bit of history and tradition. A mixture of movie with music, as Barbara Streisand also things several songs during the film.

@Meramar Yes, I know that it was directed, co-written, co-produced, by Barbra Streisand. She is Jewish-American.

Yes, Barbara Streisand did a good job. Did you know that she also was the director of that film?

@LadyDuck That's right, I knew she is jewish. I suppose that it influenced in her decision to make that movie.

Never get tired of Yentl. Watch it with grams once a year. Barbara Streisand was superb. And she could sing wonderfully. Playing a guy isn't easy. Excellent movie!!
