Getting a TIN number Online in the Phillippines

If you are an employer and want to get a TIN number with your newly hired employees, then the BIR will not accept manual application anymore through their offices. I am not sure if this is true nationwide, but here in the Davao area, they would ask you to register through eReg. I like this feature and a permanent TIN number could be generated in no time.

Nice to know. Is that the same as social security numbers?

I am not sure if TIN here in PH is same with social security number.
