Don't Talk About Writing a Book-DO IT! / myLot

You've got those unfinished stories or maybe you've finished them and haven't done anything with them. Now is the time to get them out. Finish or edit them. If you want to publish them there are places online where you can do it for free. Some even have covers for you to use. I've heard over and over again people saying "One day I'm going to write a book" Why not make this that "one day"? I'm not going to promise you'll get famous or make much money. You might or you might not. Count on the might not, hope for the might.

I actually do have a whole bunch of short stories I've written and yes hope to get them all published as a collection. Have any specific on-line publishers in mind for this? And yes have a few novels on the back burner,.

There are several. Amazon's Kindle and they do print now too. Createspace does print, Draft to Digital (D2D), Lulu and Smashwords. The last one can be a pain though because they have strict requirements for formatting. All of them publish for free. You also have to think about editing and cover design. Depending on how much editing you want to have done, the cost will vary. I usually just go for copy-editing which checks for punctuation, spelling, etc. Some of the above mentioned publishers have premade covers you can use. You can also design your own or use a cover artist.
