What is weird for a Linux user like myself is that you, Windows users, seem to forget that anybody can visit your PCs if you have not installed a good firewall. I have a firewall with only a few ports opened and a detector of port scanners, scanlogd. You cannot imagine the number of times I detect people scanning my ports... When I read your title, I thought that you were thinking at a firewall, no, you are mixing two antivirus. Maybe it is more secure but the side result is that you probably get more fake positive alerts.
