Taxi Fare Hike... Oh No!

If you live in the Philippines and if you don't have a vehicle of your own, I am sure you are also familiar with jeepneys, and like many other countries, you have also ridden a taxi -- especially if you are in a hurry. With the recent taxi fare hike, I am not sure if riding a taxi is practical any longer. The default charge is P40 as usual, I do not know about the charges on different places in the Philippines (I live in Davao City)... then there is a charge of P2.00 per minute plus P13.50 on top of it per kilometer. Lucky, there are still several taxis that are not yet calibrated, so the old fare still applies. How about in your place?
