I thought mylot is a discussion site.We chat with other members, have lot of interactions and of course, there would be disagreements- without being rude. This may be called debates. But nobody wins, loses or draws I saw a post where one of the persons who earns'' lots 'of money letting us on the secret of their huge earnings Debates on politics is where the money is. Mylot is such a debating platform for politics.Imagine!I have made posts on politics in the past -one or two .These days I do not make any on politics or religion.I sort of skip most of the posts on politics. The scales have fallen off my eyes.I am not fit for mylot.May be I should leave. But then I think of my friends like @LadyDuck,@jaboUK,@JudyEv etc This is not a political debating society. There are so many things to be ''discussed''. Politics is just one of the subjects. So how is everybody?

I would ignore the person you're referring to. Most people do.

@silvermist Time by time I reply to some politics discussions, but I try to be careful. People get offended so easily in our days.

If you plan to leave because of somebody else here in mylot then don't. You have every right to talk anything here in mylot as long as it is within the bounds of the guidelines. Whether you earn or not from your discussion is your own decision. As long as you are happy here because you have wonderful discussion with your friends, stay.

You need to respond more on other's post to get more on your post. This site is like give and take. It's not that you have to write posts on politics or anything else.

Good morning. I will discuss many subjects...politics and religion tend to be hot buttons. I leave them to someone else. I rarely read them or comment on them. I can find many other discussions that inspire me to interact .

I'm divided on this issue. I guess for me it is a debate. One side tells me to avoid those posts, make money and be happy. The other side says put a voice to your thoughts, concerns and obligations? Not sure which side to be on.

I prefer to stay away from politics and religion on social networks. It's fruitless and no one can change someone's mind or religion. Lol! I'm fine and dandy!

Thank you for the mention. I stay clear of controversial subjects. It's a shame some people get so fired up about some subjects.

Yep, I skip the Trump bashers. Looks like people would show respect for their country. Religion is the same way. So I refuse to read either of those because My beliefs are mine and I do not try to push them on anyone else.

I haven't done any on religion but I was wondering about doing some. I do read and comment on any subject if I have something to say...even religion and politics. It's fun to ruffle feathers and I get to learn new stuff from people who are civil.

But what if we can discuss what is happening with the politics of a country and how it is affecting the people of the country? Can we indulge in such a discussing?

Yes, we can discuss what we like, but some people can't grasp what constitutes a discussion. The person you are referring to is one such case.
