Is killing insects wrong?

I was cleaning my garage yesterday when I found a nasty spider nest with lots of baby spiders. Every night, at least one of them spiders would try to crawl up to the living room. I was glad to find a possible source where they all come from. I wanted to take all those spiders outside so they can find another shelter, but the babies were too small and fast to catch. I just squashed them all with my boots so they wouldn’t run and hide in other places. No, it didn’t feel good.
I hate killing insects but I do not want them to wander around my house. And I’m sure people from other parts of the world have nastier bugs to worry about than just spiders.
Do you squash insects you find inside your home too?

Yes i use spider spray. I have young children so would not like them to be bitten by spiders.

Whenever I see cockroaches, mosquitoes, I squash them. I have no heart to them. But I just shoo the spiders because I can't squash them. I dunno. Maybe, they are unharmful to me.

I am not Vegan nor Member of the Jainist religion. I dont intentionally kill insects per say. I am sure though I killed many insects whenever I eat salads. Oh I use Cricket flour on baking because I want a low fat protein source since I am trying body building.

Sometimes but is never a good feeling. So I usually spray before I see any insect. I try to do something more pro active.
