Inspired to Bring Salvation to Snarky

The other day, I was watching an 'unboxing video' by a famous atheist YouTuber (she's done quite a few of them).
Someone sent her 'some religulous book' or something, with a note that said "I don't have the faith to be an atheist," and she just 'Valley Girl'-ed a response: "Oh. Mah. Ga-wad. Being an atheist is--like--totally the opposite--like--of 'having faith!' It takes--like--'zero' faith to be an atheist. (Like, totally )"
(I don't know if that's 'the exact quote,' and she's not "a total airhead" - she's a B.S. Biomed of University of South Florida http://youtube.wikia.com/wiki/JaclynGlenn )
But I feel like she doesn't understand (being "raised Catholic") how 'having faith' is different from "believing in God." 'Faith' is more like "confidence"---the way you walk on any surface and don't fear that it'll dissolve beneath you (best exemplified by the story of Simon Peter walking to Jesus on the water ... but then Christians pervert that story into some 'coz he buh-leevd in Jeebuss'-parroting )
Or when you're walking up a long staircase; you lean on the rail, because you 'have faith' in it.
'Not having enough faith to be an atheist,' then, means that--rather than believing that 'each person & each principle in charge of making sure every person and every object adheres to the rules reasonable existence declares should be abided-by'--you believe that 'one supreme being' takes care of it all so you don't have to worry about it.
Jaclyn's BioMed-training might require of her that she have faith in individuals' systems (so that people can profit off of medicine-etc.) But--when she decides she's 'saved the world' enough--it's easier to 'let go of the relay-baton' when you know you're passing it to "someone" (i.e. to God, who then makes sure the next race-runner carries it the next lap).

Never heard of her. I have my own outlook on faith and belief in the Lord and I pray every day.

I'm glad that works for you. Some people are not so blessed, and (like St. Thomas) we have to see/hear/feel to believe.
