Notifications…What Is My Strategy?

Trinidad And Tobago

Most people handle notification first then do blog comments, then post a new blog. I post first, do comments, and never look at notifications. I came in with this strategy to get about 8 comments (12 was the highest for me), move on and post a new blog each day. But my last post was so popular (I got 23 comments in the first day) that I got stuck answering the comments. Many new people reached my blog and I actually got many long answers. My internet was hell. Today makes it 4 days on the same blog but it seems to be paying off. My earning gauge is slowly creeping up. I have already hit my target of $5.00 (10 days on site) and will actually get a cash out when it’s time. I have changed my strategy again. Since my present blog is so attractive, I am answering a comment and returning a comment immediately. Then I try to do 5 new persons for the day. I also tried new blogs, blogs without comment, interesting blog, popular blog and active blog. I am trying to remember (imprint) some people to comment daily in their blogs. Because so many people returned my comments I have not yet have the time do a second comment on the first. Sadly, my internet has gone for a day now and interrupt my game plan. But I feel my strategy will have to change again. I was unable to answer all my comments…even took 3 days to get to them and by then the owners had posted three new blogs. How do the older heads handle their comments? I am so tired at the end of the day! Any suggestions?

You can also make 5 dollars here in less than 10 days if you are active. Taking care of the notifications pay.

@Gita17112016 I always do my notifications first. Some days I have very little time to be online, so I want to be sure to respond to comments first. If I have leftover time I read new discussions.

@LadyDuck I tried but I end up being so exhausted. I try to do my discussion comment one at a time and respond from there! So at least I do cover some work

Anna, I have been following you for a while now and you are one of those steady reliable people. For me, i sometimes do not have the time. I am hoping to reshuffle myself to give this site a lot more of my time...unless there is an internet breakdown. Do you do your notifications first?

Many people say that but I find posting first leaves something new for a person who has already commented on all other posts.

My strategy is to clear notifications first then check topics and answer for the same. Starting a new one entirely depends on the mood and mostly I am lazy to start new.

Wow! A blogger who is too lazy to start a new one? That's a first. i usually have up to 5 discussion prepared and ready and waiting for the opportune moment. The notifications bogged me down a bit too. I am tired when I handle it!

@Gita17112016 If I am not lazy then I have too much topics in hand. But at lazy time really lazy to think or write, may be weird but I am like that.

@Marty1 In my other site blogging is not like myLot. You get paid for 'shares' so the comments ended up being nonsensical because you can reply nonsensical too. There is no discussion and the few who do struggle to discuss has learn there is no discussion!

I'm sorry I can't be of help. I just don't seem to be able to catch up on here, although I try my best. My friends understand. I always work on my notifications first and foremost.

@Gita17112016 Every time I sit down to myLot, something stops me. Tonight it was texts and the Olympics.

Hmm, I seem to be all over the place. And I am definitely not catching up either. I have to see if I can finish the notifications.

@DianneN Same here. But also for me I am on another worthless site but because I have so much vested I cannot leave my account unattended. So I slave away there hoping i can do minimum and when i switch over to here, the time just flies!

I have no strategy whatsoever with mylot. I come when I can, and just sort out all the notifications. IF I have the time and in a mood, then I will post (but I will have to be sure to return to reply, unless it is a post which says, sorry, I will be away soon .)

So I guess myLot is just a way to 'while' away your time. What about earning? This is not what brought you here?

@YrNemo Okay that sounds very nice. I think myLot people are very warm and caring.

@Gita17112016 the earning here is nothing. I come here to catch up with my cyber friends when I have the time.

@Gita17112016 First of all,I take care of notifications.Thereafter I visit posts quickly, because I have to utilise every minute of the short time I have to stay online and finally I share an idea,if I have one.

I am trying to handle notifications but there are so many. And I sometimes miss a few days so it is uphill work for me. I tend to get boggled down when i am reading post. Some are so interesting, I slow down to savor them...and when i look up, the time has passed! I write my discussion in between my responding to other's post!

@Shivram59 I thought we had to respond to all comments (quid pro quo). I was also told even if I am not active, there is nothing stopping me responding to others comment even weeks old. Apparently the earning gauge has no Timer on it! Isn't that great? I see people sharing all kind of tidbits of their life, whether it has a 'good idea' or not. I just respond to the flow!

@Gita17112016 I don't have to respond to lot of notifications.Since I'm not very active here due to lack of time,I don't have to comment back on many responses. So I somehow manage. As far as starting discussions is concerned,it depends on whether I have hit a good idea to share.

Do you mean on an actual blog or here at mylot? I would reply to all comments as I find it rude to write and not respond to people who take the time to read and comment on what we write.

I used to write in blogger but I only ever got one comment. I rarely ever comment on blogs I read as most the blogs I see are recipes etc.

Do you blog on another site? I do respond to all comments on my blog (before I move on to another blog) but not out of fear of 'rudeness'. Some comments I'll miss out later, because I am slow on the notifications (which I have to plough through). On another site we handle blogs differently and no one looks at notifications. And no one respond to comments. Only just visits.

@shaggin Well that's it. I wonder if we were not paid for 'commenting / discussing' how many will truly read out of interest?

I post, they respond, I comment back, and then respond back. If i got the time I would make time in the recently made post.

Don't you reach out to people first? How will you get more traffic? I always reach out first to others so that they find me more easily!

@Gita17112016 I do try to be relaxed about most things. I think some of it is my nature too, I don't like to repeat things over and over so I try to do things different. Keeps me entertained.

@mom210 I wish there was a little more features available on this site. I kind of like to do things the same way one it works smoothly or faster. I find the discussions varied enough to keep from being bored.

I try to respond to every person who makes a comment on one of my posts. I usually write a post and then read others, Time allowing that is.

I post once a week if I can and answer new comments and just keep reading in between. Works for me, I don't worry a lot about posting just reading and commenting

You must have a lot of post published already. I sometimes get bored with my last post and even if it is doing great I usually post a new one!
