So 3 days Ago a lady purchased 2 tickets for an Delta Flight; One for her and one for her Service Animal. Now , you're probably thinking what's the Problem? Service animals accompany their Owners for Health Benefits, Life Aide , Moral Support, etc. When the lady approached the Clerk she stunned the World.
Normally we're used to seeing Dogs or Cats as Primary Service animals. She came to the Airport with an exotic Animal, a beautiful Extraordinary Peacock. I never seen or heard before... Delta is now reviewing New Procedures for Service Animals. This also raised an concern because Exotic Animals are Wild, they defecate, Make noises, and could oppose as an threat. Furthermore, how could an animal that size fit on an Airplane. Hence this occurrence, Exotic Animals are now Banned from Delta Flights.
Do you think Delta Airlines are taking the right Measures? Do you think All Exotic Animals if Certified should be allowed on Airplanes? What are your Thoughts....?

I saw something similar on the news several weeks ago. A gentleman was attacked by a "service" dog on the plane but turned out it was a regular dog. People were bringing their pet rodants, birds, etc and putting on service verses to make them look like service animals. So now ( I think it was delta) they are requiring documentation for the service animals.

Thats exactly why some animals are a bit Extreme In that case animals should be screened but the Owners should show Empathy to the Airlines Guidelines. I may have heard of that but yes thats really frustrating knowing people lives/Pets are being endangered...

@taciaelisepeace Exactly and that's dangerous for Everyone on the Plane including children that would be awful, people should consider that. That is so Selfish but I suppose they're going to toughen up on laws now ... Since its expanding.

@Lexibeby You're right, it can be dangerous for both pets and people especially when these pets aren't trained for traveling.

Really, exotic animals don't belong there. How trainable are they, really?I think trainability is the key to determining what is a service animal

I do think the airlines was right to deny the animal. People are to close to have to worry about an animal they might be seated next too. Too many people are trying to use any animal as emotional support, which is fine. But an emotional support animal doesn't have the same rights as a service animal. They need to learn this before trying to pass a wild animal off to be safe around everyone.

I have never thought of this. Perhaps if the animal was properly secured...that is, not a threat to other passengers? Maybe ? I know if I am a passenger, I don't want somebody's pet to be to be intruding on me. And definitely, no snakes, thank you.
