Yes, I was.
I was a part timer English tutor to Chinese students online for more than a year and a half. And that keep me busy while I was away with mylot. I need to help my family earn more income since my husband had unstable work and income years back.
My teaching schedule was every mornings (when the kids were in school) and evenings (when my husband was on his way home from work to take care of the kids). I enjoyed doing this and I actually do not want to give this up but I have to prioritize things.
I learned a lot from my students, their culture, their traditions and a lot more. Some became my friends and still in touch until now.

I also teach conversational English part time to Chinese students and professionals but I'm not under any company, I have a business partner in China who looks for clients for me. I could relate to what you are saying about culture and making friends.

oh really? that is nice. I would to like to teach freelance too but I do not know anyone to refer me! Because the company was quite strict with the number of hours that I need to fulfill so it keeps me away from the family on weekends too. Good for you @loiuevill you have a business partner to get clients

@rakski I taught my partner and he got promoted to assistant English department head so he recommends me he is in an international school that tutors toefl to students whio wants to go to the States, now I teach his co-teachers. I also taught him bitcoins and cryptocurrency so he made a lot of money. We became good friends and we built trust.

But I'm not an English Teacher. You might be asking this to yourself. That's alright. Most of these companies don't necessarily look for people who majore

Online tutoring is part of my plan when I am already retired.. My daughter was a part-time tutor in English also through Rare Job.
And that's nice because you get to spend quality time at home- enjoying while earning. Is it difficult to teach English online?

It is not difficult at all especially for you that you have experience in teaching. Really, your daughter is a tutor at rare job? is she there until now? As much as I want, those companies demand time from tutor that corrupts my time with my family that is why I am looking for a company that will give me much more freedom.

Well, that is the trend now. I hope you don't experience rude clients over there. Keep it up.

@Letranknight2015 I am very fortunate not to experience the rudeness of sone people, thank God. But I heard different stories from my co-teachers and I am very blessed not to experience what others had been through.

Many times I have wished I could find something like this or a Tutor to help out kids with things, but not sure I can find something out there I would be interested in and have the time for.

@JudyEv same here. You do not actually need to know their language. For some beginners, you just have to introduce the alphabets but for some, they somehow know English already but needs improvement in pronunciation and grammar guide. I know you can do this!

That sounds really neat. I have heard of people here in the United States who work online teaching Chinese kids English. They need to have gone to college and I have not so that's not a job I could do. If it's anything like regular teaching I wouldn't have the patience for it.
