Bitcoin's price drops today of $8,000, what a disappointment for someone who invested into it. Anyway, there are other altcoins that has a great potential but i just can't get over my feelings with bitcoin.
Others said, it is like a bubble and it will just disappear. They said do not invest to bitcoin because it is risky. But for the people like me who are still hoping that it will still increase and will still be the king of crypto, we never lose hope.
Forgive me if some didn't understand bitcoin. I just need to burst out my feelings. ????

You will have to get use to the volatility of cryptocurrency if you want to play the game, I had been into it for 3 years ( a long time in cryptos), people complained years ago when it was 1,000 and went too 400. There was a time when people get ecstatic when it was reaching 1k. Come to think of it 8k is high if you bought it low, how much did you buy yours?
I had thousands of dollars last December when btc reached almost 20k, I also have other altcoins like lite, doge, ripple, dash, xlm etc... and saw my money slashed by almost half or more yesterday but I do not really care, Im a hodler, I will keep no matter what happens and Im still on the profit side. Of course it will go up, it started from dirt, you better get use to volatility and investing money that you do not care to lose. Welcome to mylot

I would be less optimistic than you, it depends of the regulations to come in the EU, and in big countries like Russia and India. If cryptocurrencies are forbidden to trade in these countries most of their owners there will leave. I am asking myself now if I should continue to mine an altcoin : after having been multiplied by 20 between August and the beginning of January, the price has now fallen at what it was last October. I am going to reach my next altcoin payment (I mine in a pool), and I will stop, waiting until I know the regulations decided in my country.

@louievill No, its little brother, AEon which is/was even more promising and easier to mine. Maybe it will not be banned in the EU, but it is at risk in Russia and India. France is actually controlling exchange sites operating here, and I read that USA is controlling Bitfinex. It smells bad.
I would not use a VPN to cheat on such a regulation. Or I can exchange it legally in my country or not, and in this case I am no more interested.

@topffer your country and Germany would be leading the formulation of a draft for regulation, it would be regulated but it would never be banned, the same way South Korea has put in regilations in theirs.
It cannot be stopped completely, we were still trading with the Chinese long after their Governmenr said stop, it's simple as my Chinese friend said " they can't put so much people in jail and feed them". The government went after VPN instead and that somewhat controlled it including us. The same will happen in Russia and India, India does not have a Great Firewall that the Chinese have now expanded.
What do you mine? Monero?

I have heard so many people saying that this is the time to buy bitcoin and I was very suspicious about it. There was a news story about a supposed teenage bitcoin millionaire on instagram and I wasn't convinced it was even real. The boy had a nice car but he dressed like a hobo and all of his pictures of his 'riches' looked so posed and fake.

If there is something that I learned in life, it is that the clothes and the look do no tell anything about the amount of money in the wallet. Only some newly rich people like to show that they are rich. Ask anybody having worked in a palace hotel, they will confirm it.
I would be suspicious because it is a teen, but anybody who bought some bitcoins in the early 2010's when it was at less than $10 can be a millionaire today with a ridiculous investment when they bought them.

So you won't believe me that I am supposed to be one of the millionaires in the Philippines if I only HODL my 3 Bitcoin earnings from bitLanders in 2015 and sold it in 2017. LOL
There were members from Pakistan who HODL their bitLanders earning from 2014 and very thankful for bitLanders because it is a lot of money for them now. :)
It is the best time to BUY crypto when price drops. And of course the best time to SELL is when price goes up.

@AkoPinay I congratulate you and anyone who has become richer from Bitcoin. There does seem to be a lot of urgency to buy Bitcoin right now and of course that is usually the best course of action in investing - to buy when the price has dropped. However based on what I've read about Bitcoin I would be worried for anyone thinking of buying Bitcoin now as I think it is a shrinking bubble.

My friend told me that it's not the good time to invest in Bitcoin because the price is a bit high.
