@MsBooklover I did get called but I had a reasonable excuse. My job was laying me off due to down sizing & I needed to find a new job. So they allowed me to be excused.

I have been called but was able to leave after watching the video. Which I'm glad, as I dont want to be on a jury, and dont think anyone under 30 should be.

I was called in, and I could have been excused, but I wanted to see what it was like. I ultimately was not chosen, and it's a good thing; my back was killing me by the end of the day. Those wooden chairs were torturous.

I almost forget about those hard chairs. It is difficult to understand why they have not upgraded those chairs.

I am now 65 and have never been called for jury service, although I would do so very happily if asked. My son was called within six months of becoming eligible!

We don't havce jury system in my country, so I find it hard to understand how it works. Why doesn't the judge just take the simple decision and get done with the case? Beats me.
