Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmavat had faced controversies and released at a later date. The sets and camera work in the film is excellent. The artists Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone did well in their roles as King Ratan Singh and Queen Padmavat. Ranvir Singh tried hard to bring in all the evil looks of Alauddin Khilji. But the director gave more footage to cruel ruler Alauddin Khilji. Instead he could have given more time to life of Chittaurgarh as both Ratan Singh and Padmavat were loyal, honest and kind in their deeds.
