It is legal to record my converstaion?

I live in VA and my boyfriend and I just recently had a horrible break up and I was wondering if it was legal for him to call my cell and record me without me knowing so. He called me asking me a bunch of possibly incriminating questions and when I asked him if he was recording me he said no, but I feel like he was. Is it legal or not?

You would have to ask a lawyer on that one. Some states it is illigle to be recorded on the phone without the other person knowing about it. Why do you think he was recording you? If you really think he was and you wanted to get him for it ask a lawyer, like I said. Or maybe you you could look it up online. Good luck.

From what I understand you can only be recorded legally if you agree to it or a warrant is issued to tap your phone line. How would your boyfriend benefit from taping you? Do you think he would try to black mail you?
