Maine Game Wardens Bayley Grant and Scott Osgood and two hunters assisted a female moose to get loose from a muddy spring that the moose covered in mud up to her neck.
The two hunters were looking for deer antlers in a cedar swamp when they saw a moose with mud up to her neck in a spring hole. The poor moose could not use her legs to get out of the jam.
The two game wardens then assisted the two hunters by getting the front legs of the moose out of the mud spring hole before they placed a rope around the moose to free her from her trap since her hind legs were stuck on some tree roots.
The rescue team then used a tree to create a winch to pull the moose out of the mud trap.
After the moose was free, she left the area under her own power thanks to her rescue team in Columbia Maine.

A very close call for the Moose Mama saved by her rescuers that had to use ingenuity and strength to free it. We don't have such big animals here in Hawaii. In the rural areas there are some horses, cows on farms, pigs too. I've only seen moose in nature shows.
