Hurricanes, Earthquakes, or Tornadoes? Which is worse?

I live in California. I've lived through a few earthquakes but nothing really major. I used to live in areas where tornadoes were common but never had to deal with one. I've never had any experiences with hurricanes. Any natural disaster can do a lot of damage, but I think I prefer tornadoes because you'll be safe in a basement or so at least. How do you get away from an earthquake or hurricane?

Tornadoes wouldn't bother me so much, they come through, do their damage, then are gone. I think I could deal with that better than a place that has hurricanes, which can cause flooding as well as wind damage. Earthquakes to me would be the worst of all, becasue any building or structure can collapse on you, chasms can open in streets, and also you never know when aftershocks are going to come.
Also, hurricanes and tornadoes can be predicted to some extent, with earthquakes they only know that a 'big one' will happen sometime in the next 20 years or so... not too helpful!

I've only been in a minor earthquake and it wasn't so bad. Nothing like they have in California. I've been in several tornados when I lived in Ohio. Those are pretty scary. Hurricanes - I have been through countless. When they actually hit your area they are really bad. They destroy hundreds of house. You are without power for at least a week. I haven't been through any stronger than a category 3.
I am taking meteorology this semester and a tornado is considered to be more destructive than a hurricane. I found that kind of weird. But I think it's because tornados are short lived and destroy so much.
