Back at the very end of 2007 a friend here told us about a visitor she had and how she was going to take him to the nearest Walmart and find him another home.
I looked up where she lived, San Antonio, and sent her a private message that if she could hold on to him one more day I would drive down and get him.
She said she would and I did.
Actually, she didn't know he was male then, just that he was a kitten.
On the way down, I decided that regardless of the kitten's sex, his or her name was going to be Tony/Toni. Because we got him in San AnTONIo.
Well, let us flash forward 10 years, a month and a few days.
We still have Tony and he's a very sweet boy.
He is also clumsy. He is real clumsy.
He fell off a box tonight and knocked off a couple of bags that were on the chair next to the box.

Tony sounds like one of the fur babies I had. He was so clumsy that he would fall out of the litter box. I hate to say the number of times he took a bath with my daughter. He would get up on the edge of the tub and I would get a free show of his feet scrambling on the edge of the tub and in he'd go. He couldn't quite make it to the top of the kitchen counter, but he could make it into the washing machine when it was filling with water for a load of laundry. He got run through the dryer only once. That trip lasted only a few seconds because you couldn't miss the meow thump, meow thump as he rode the "E" ride better known as the dryer. I got him out before he got hurt, but he did several somersaults across the laundry room.
I love clumsy cats!!! They are so much fun!

@ElicBxn Does Flower use the litter box more when it's fresh? Where does she have her accidents? There could be several reasons for her problem. One, she doesn't like the granules. Some are really painful to step on. I've stepped on some In my bare feet and even with my going bare foot most all the time those granules really really hurt to step on. I quit using them immediately! I now fdo a "step test" on the litter to make sure it's ground fine enough. Second she might not like the scented litter. I've tried brands that are supposed to be deoderized, and all they are are scented to the point of being toxic pollutants! Also she might not like the box. It could be too small or not deep enough. It's kind of a experiment in kitty potties and giving into their desires.
Thinking on it, she might not like where the box is in the house. I ended up with 4 litter boxes in the house before it burned down. I discovered that if a person has more than one cat they may need more than one litter box. I was cleaning them every day so my fur babies would have a clean toilet. (I hate using public restrooms because they can be absolutely filthy!) I had one box in my storage room, one in the studio, one in the bath tub, and one in a secluded corner of my bedroom. It made a little work for me daily, but less work in the long run.
I wish I lived closer to you, I would take Flower in a heartbeat! I've had cats all my life and right now it's really miserable without one. I am giving into Bill's way of doing things because I'm a guest in his house. Come the time I have my own home again it'll be kitty haven again. As one friend so aptly put it in a sign she made for me "Toni's cat house". I'll end up living up to the sign I'm sure. But, back to Flower, I hope I'm able to help with her potty issues. It isn't natural for a cat to not use the box, it isn't from retardation either...it sounds more like a supplier issue.

@BearArtistLady is this "Loverbear"? And, no, she'll pee in the box, but she seldom poops in the box. She kind of rotates where she poos, under the table isn't as bad as in front of doors or the refrigerator.

My Ouija isn't a klutz, but he sure is a mountain climber and loves jumping up to high places, like on top of the fridge, then jumps up to the top shelf of the cabinet over the fridge

I have many of those, Flower is my smallest adult cat at the moment - we are thinking Opal is going to be smaller - but we see her up in the eyebrow window frequently. Maybe a bit less now that she's nearing 10, but she would rather go up than down anytime. She's on top of the fridge a lot this winter, its warmer than the floor.

My mom had a cat who fell off the ironing board and a window sill - and didn't land on her feet. This was only a few inches, but it was a big box. I don't know what else he's fallen off of recently, but we know he has failed to make jumps enough he's afraid to jump in our laps.
