What Do You Read in the newspaper first or do you read from front to back

I use to read the newspaper everyday when I lived in the northeast and I knew of more things going on up there. I use to be active in organizations so I knew a lot of people.
I always read the obituary as I knew so many people. Here in Florida I haven't been as active so I don't know much about activities, or many people.

Back in the days when I read a physical copy of the newspaper, I would read it from front to back. Now, I have several newspaper apps on my phone, so when I open the apps to read the day's stories, I read them from top to bottom as they appear in the app.

@ramapo17 Since I work for local government, I like to read about things going on in our community. So, even though the local news is the section I really care about, I'll still read all the other sections.

I always use to sit down and read the paper from front to back. We use to get it delivered everyday. Now we only get Wednesday and Sunday as my husband likes them. I only go through them once in awhile but I don't have to have it. Sometimes I just put it in the pile to get rid of.

@Jeanniemaries That is exactly the way I am. My husband gets it on Wednesdays and Sunday. I think he needs to hold a paper in his hands. I have found some things going on nearby in the local paper and of course there are always coupons that I find.

@ramapo17 I find I get enough news from the internet and TV. But yes, I grew up reading the paper daily and continued most of my life. Just stopped taking it when I moved to Florida as I wasn't as familiar.

I used to read the newspaper every weekend when I'm working in my father's office. I read the headlines first then jump to the entertainment section.

@ramapo17 Yes, that's why I hate watching the news on tv because of that. It was different back in the 80s and the 90s. Those gory things are censored.

@toniganzon The bodies are always covered up when they are on the tv these days.

Don't read the newspaper except online. Just look over the latest news.

That is an interesting way to do it and it saves you money as you don't have to buy the papers.

Before moving here to Florida, I always read the obituaries as I knew so many people. Occasionally I read it now and I am surprised how many people were from my home area. A few months after being here I read the paper and spotted an obituary of a lady that use to work for me in New Jersey many years ago.

@Courtlynn You are right and the older we get the more we see of people we know.

Before moving to Florida we use to get the newspaper delivered to our house everyday. The last four years we have lived in Florida and get the paper delivered only Sunday and Wednesday. We don't know that many people here so we don't have as much of an interest in reading it.

I don't read the newspaper anymore. I used to read the front page and move towards the back, reading only articles or features that caught my eye. I did read all the cartoons. I live in a huge city and so only occasionally looked at the obituary.

I don't read the newspaper but I do subscribe to our old newspaper from our home town in NY and I know more about what's going on there than I do here. I guess my heart is still in the old place since I lived there my whole life until 8 years ago.

I used to get the newspaper, but I never really read it. There were some parts of it that I would read though. Now I look at the local headlines on Bing.com.

When I took a daily paper, it would always be the back pages first for the sport. Now, though, nearly all my news comes from news organisation websites (e.g. Reuters) as they're updated throughout the day. Also, most papers now are not so much "news" papers as merely "opinion" papers - I can't remember the last time a regularly bought a daily.
