Ironies of Life

For months, I have been a shock absorber of a friend who's nursing a broken heart. Well, although I am broken hearted as we speak, I still am able to lend a friend an ear for her problems as well. She was also cheated on and that hurts me, because somehow I can relate to her stories. Then she tells me how depressed she is, and sometimes, taking her own life visits her mind. I keep on reminding her how beautiful life is, and of the people who truly loves her. And then, just yesterday, a common friend of ours died of cardiac arrest during her dialysis. Someone who was fighting to live died.
With both situations I realized how ironic.life can get. It takes the life of the person who still want to live longer, and extends the life of someone who wants to leave earlier.
What a way for life to illustrate how to appreciate life. Life indeed is short and must be appreciated.

Life is really like that. Sometimes sad sometimes happy. This is the real ride that we all never forget. Hope you both will be okay soon.

Thank you @cttoledo ! I am able to manage my emotions, but it is extremely difficult. I have taken steps to move forward with my broken heart while she hasn't yet.
And about our friend ho passed away, I still haven't visited her. She was a jolly one. Gone too soon though.

@cttolledo it really is. And one thing that nakes it more difficult is the fact that my sad friend is overseas. So, I will not be able to hug her.
I could really use a vacation now. I will file my vacation leave soon.

Being thankful for everything, including the bad situations, would really help cope up. Perhaps, the lessons the unfortunately situations bring are the biggest trophy that we can get from it.

Thank you. I know how it feels to actually have o one to cling to, to be in an awful situation. Which is why I can't just leave my friend. It sucks when there's no one to at least talk to.
As for our friend who passed away, I am praying for her still. At least now, she will not be in any pain anymore.
