Yesterday, we picked my brother up at the airport. He will only be here for ten days to relax, see friends, and do business with our neighbor, Dr. Jay. Big business deal in the works! I'm so happy for him.
He thanked me for having invited him to our condo for Crock Pot beef stew, especially since he was beat from traveling and working all afternoon. He enjoyed it and brought French bread and cheesecake to go with dinner and my salad.
I ate so much, that I tried to burn off some of those calories by walking 10 miles and riding my bike for 15 miles.
Now, I'm at the hairdresser, after which I have an appointment for a 1 1/2 hour massage.
Dinner? I believe my husband said something about going out tonight as I ran out the door.
Such is life here. How's your life been going this week?

We are home early today. I only had one client scheduled for this morning. The second was later this afternoon for only an hour visit. So I cancelled that one. The snow isn't supposed to stop until tomorrow. I didn't want to drive when the roads got bad.
Little Miss isn't feeling well, she has a cold. So I'll put her down for a nap shortly. Shouldn't take her long to fall asleep. Poor little thing.
Enjoy your massage! I'd be out like a light if I had a 90 minute massage!

@DianneN if they are doing a good job, relaxation and sleep are a good result.

So you did 25 miles of exercise because of a bowl of stew? That does not sound fun at all.
The massage, yes.

First, great picture of your Ice Princess. I'm glad you had a great meal with your brother. You're not going to gain a single pound. Those calories don't stand a chance of taking up residence when you walk ten miles and ride your bike for fifteen.
I'm sure that massage felt good. I hope dinner was good, which I'm sure it was.
My week is going good. However, after all I did yesterday, I did not go to the pool this morning. I'm completely wiped out. I did a lot of walking around stores yesterday, and am feeling it this morning. So seeing it's -10 wind chill, I tried going back to bed. That didn't work because I was in bed at 7:30 last night. So, I've had plenty of sleep, but I'm still wiped.

Sometimes we know when we've had enough of something. You certainly were busy and out and about for a long time yesterday. I only rode my bicycle today and plan on vegging in the sun. Orville is chirping away right now, and I keep hopping up and down to chat with him. He's so sweet!!!!

@DianneN I can just imagine you 'hopping' around to talk to him. I wish I had completely vegged out today. Unfortunately, I've worked on the messed up manuscript and let my blood pressure go sky high, probably not, but maybe a little with all the mess I'm contending with. I'll never trust another editor again.

A massage would make a wonderful birthday gift. Is it coming up? My brother is busy working here, and is having a friend, who is a knight, visit for the weekend. It's just nice knowing he's here in the next building.
I'm sure your sister is very busy with the two kids and has no time to think straight! lol

@shaggin Lol and Lol! Don't hold your breath about either. . We were all amazed at how well she did. Her coach went to see her compete against the other girls, who are older, but at the same skill level. Only time will tell. It's a very competitive and grueling sport. IF she's in the Olympics, I don't know if my heart could take the excitement. I was a wreck last Friday.

Yes, she certainly is holding the medal she won and was proud as could be. It was a very important skate for her and the first of the season. It's so nice having family down here. It adds a touch of home. Oh, my, was that cheesecake ever good!!!!

It's the same routine but I love my routine. My walk is in the garden and I bet by the end of the day it could amount to more than 15 miles not to mention the climb to the terrace a few times.
How I wish I got a massage too. I cannot trust anyone as those hands could be rough on my back as it needs careful handling

You have a lovely and huge garden there. You should get a step tracker for the fun of it.
The massage therapists here are trained and certified. I know people with back backs who feel great after therapeutic massages. I chose a relaxing Swedish massage for today. It was lovely.

I hope your brother fits in some time to visit with you while he is there, Dianne!
Wow! Are you sure you were just trying to burn off a few calories? That sounds more like training for a marathon!
LOL! I'm sure you enjoyed the massage, the hairdresser and dinner with your hubby, too! SMH! (You don't think you need to slow down just a tiny bit? grinning at you!)

@kobesbuddy I rarely eat it myself. I have the best New York cheesecake recipe at home, of course. I also put pineapple, cherries, and or blueberries on top. We both know cakes and sugary desserts, even peanut brittle, are big no-nos when one is fat, prediabetic, or on a diet.

@DianneN I eat cheesecake about once a year, a small piece! My mother use to make it with crushed pineapple, it was great:)
