DayDreaming of A Little Getaway

This time of year I always turn my thoughts to daydreaming of a warm getaway to take the frost off of these blustery winter days. Picture the ocean- turquoise blue with waves gently rushing to shore. And of course, there's a breeze brushing the palm trees that line the length of the white sands.
Sounds great, doesn't it? I do always dream of this inviting picture at this time of year but this time I am actually planning a getaway for either Spring or Fall so the daydream could just become a reality.
Yes, it's been awhile since we've had a warm vacation due to our budget- but careful planning and saving just may be our ticket. Some of you already live in warm climes or are spending time somewhere warm for the Winter and it certainly sounds good.
We're not sure if some family members may come so we're waiting for a few things to iron out. The ocean is a therapy in a way so it's a smart plan for we humans to take it in now and again. Now if only I could find a way to stretch out my stay!

I am that someone who lives in a warm climate. And I got an invitation to a beautiful island next week but I think I have to refuse because next week is Valentine's Day and my birthday follows 4 days after. I wouldn't want to be away with my close friends and family during those days.

@MarymargII actually I have a good alibi. A client will be closing a deal and signing a contract on the 15th. It was supposed to be in April but when I showed her the property, she decided to sign a contract this 15th. So it's a valid alibi why I can't go to that island.

Oh I hope you will get to go on that ocean getaway ! On the flip side, it's already quite warm here . . . we wish for a real winter and won't get it now . . . I would like to be on a snowy vacation somewhere where we can enjoy some of that blustering white stuff! Maybe we can trade places for a while .

@MarymargII Summer isn't a good time to be in Florida. Beware! June to December is hurricane season.

Thinking about Florida and/or a cruise. May have to wait for the Fall for that.

@MarymargII It's only 30 minutes from us and yes, we do have some nice sunsets there. We drove in especially one evening to try to get some good shots.

I'm sure you don't have to go too far before you might come across a scene like that where you live. Are you close to the ocean? We have one at either end but it's thousands of miles to get there---ha!

@MarymargII I have been to Florida as part of our US package. We went on a Bahamas Cruise from there.

@allknowing And how did you enjoy it? The Bahamas are gorgeous but there are many tropical settings where you come from that must be breathtaking.

Could be an island but the cost is better off season- or even South Florida- many gorgeous places to visit there too.

The warm and the sunshine is certainly a spirit lifter. I love having our home here and have no regrets about purchasing it,

As we think of it- it will probably be next Fall- but that will give us time to plan better. So glad you too are getting away to the warm in a while too.

We've not been able to leave the colder area for a warmer spot ever, and not sure whether it will take place or not as yet. THings are looking up though. I'm hopeful that one day in the future we can move our residence down south a bit, but that remains to be seen.
If you are able to go anywhere before the weather gets nicer be sure to have a nice time.

I truly hope you get to go a bit south- that would be ideal. As we get older I question why we deal with harsh Winters when there's a possibility of getting away from/out of it even for awhile.
