I think the reason why we don't hear about it much is that it's usually not as dramatic of a change for men as it is for women. Notice that I say "usually".

I've only learned of this last year. Not sure why there isn't more discussion on it from the medical side. I've seen the commercials they've been pushing lately to combat the symptoms but they never ever come right out and mention Andropause aka Male Menopause. I imagine part of it may be because so many guys are embarrassed to talk about it.

I've heard of this before, it's simply a slowing down. It's no different than a woman's menopause, her system is basically just slowing down.

@amadeo Some medical professional refuse to believe, that it actually exists. There are always the pros and cons, with anything that we are afflicted by. I had hypoglycemia for over 20 years. My one doctor said that it was a 'new fad,' and he wouldn't treat me for this condition. Another doctor established that it's definitely an actual problem and said that it's usually a forerunner to diabetes. Shortly after I learned this, I developed diabetes! The first doctor even denied that I had a problem.

I've heard of that. Actually I've heard that men go through a hormonal shift every 3 months (much similar to women and PMS, though of course not with the obvious monthly symptoms that women have) - makes sense to me. I think more research should be done

The link would not work for me so I just did a search. I have never heard of andropause before but really it does make sense that men may go through it to and some more extreme then others just like with women. I'd say your past the point of having had it. Thinking back though so you notice you had signs pointing to male menopause or did you skip over it?

Well, I read the article you attached by, and I see that I have already several of the symptoms described there. However I try to live the best I can. I try don´t to get fat and I do body exercises regularly. I also try to eat well and to do activities that I can enjoy such as reading a good book, and when it´s possible I travell towards nice places where I can relax and enjoy the time. An important thing is to be healthy.
