Can you see the bokeh in the image?

Have you heard the photographic term ‘bokeh’ ? Bokeh occurs when parts of the image lie outside the depth of field. It mostly shows as blurred circles where the lens has hit points of light outside the depth of field. In the photo above you can see circular bokeh beyond the area of focus. Photos taken with a shallow depth of field are more likely to produce bokeh.
When I first searched for bokeh, I spelt it ‘boka’ but that is apparently Nepalese for a male goat. The term is also used to describe perverted males. So now you know. Photo is Vince’s and he’s very pleased with the bokeh effect in this.

So I am a boka!
Just kidding. At first I thought I was looking for some sort of bug.

@teamfreak16 It's amazing what turns some people on isn't it? All the comments on a FB photo page are going ape about the wonderful bokeh. Duh!

That's something only who have knowledge about photography can explain or else it wont have been noticed by people like us.

@JudyEv Just like the word "bokeh" but my brain read it as "broken"

@nitirrbb7 I do that too. The brain jumps in without looking properly - and sometimes it gets it very wrong..

Every hobby seems to have its own jargon, don't you think?

It looks interesting..I wish I had a camera capable of taking decent close ups. Next phone I get is going to have a better camera..this one isn't bad for a cheap phone..but I would like to take better pics. Even my digital camera isn't too outstanding.

This was for a shallow depth of field challenge. Vince has just bought a new phone and is hoping for great things from the camera. Some of them are really good.

I don't think I've ever had Bokeh in my photos on purpose. Or Boka either for that matter. lol

I think I heard that in transcription jobs I do before. It sounds Japanese to me. Is that the circle effect on the photo?
