Spicy Ice Cream, Anyone?

Here in the Bicol region of the Philippines, people are so fond of spicy foods made spicy by crushing Thai chili or putting slices of spicy finger chilis.
Thus, even the ice cream in a famous restaurant was made spicy. It has levels 1 -3.
Some months ago, my aunt-in-law and I, ate there. Then we had a dessert of the spicy ice cream. I had tasted one before and I like it. It has no levels of spiciness then.
We ordered level 1. And when I ate mine, I was surprised by its spiciness because I was thinking it would be mild, but it wasn’t. But I love it and finished it .
Aunt-in-law after tasting how spicy it is, gave it to me and instead ordered the ordinary ice cream. I readily ate them all.
I was thinking what about level 2 & 3, when level 1 was spicier than I think it would be.
But I swear it is delicious and the spiciness makes the coldness of the ice cream hot!
What about you, can you eat a spicy ice cream?
And that is the picture of the spicy ice cream that I saw in my camera after how many months we had a taste of it.

I would try it, I probably wouldn't have it that spicy because I'm a wimp, but it is good to try anything once haha

@SIMPLYD I would go with a level 1 as well haha since if the ice cream is still regular ice cream the dairy of it will calm the flames haha

I normally keep myself away from sweet dishes, cold drinks and ice creams! But I know about them because of my wife and my son who are big fans of ice cream! The Ice cream what you have mentioned here seems to be yummy and tasty...I bet if my wife and son sees it they would definitely have gone in for it dear @SIMPLYD ! Thanks!

Hubby and I would probably try it. At home we put pepper jelly over ice cream from time to time.

I bet indeed that you will like this since you and your hubby has tried that kind of ice cream. Pepper is a bit bitter. This one is not, just spicy , sweet and cold.

The ice cream isn't my cup of tea,let alone Spicy Ice Cream. I am afraid I can't stand the level 1 ,though I can eat a bit food with chili in it.

The way I taste it, the chili spiciness was just added to the ice cream. I can't decipher how they did it. But the way the sweetness and coldness of the ice cream blended so well with the spiciness.
Do you think you can take level 3 of this one?
I can only take level 1 though.

@SIMPLYD I guess it's like how sweet and sour, or sweet and salty works - but this is sweet and spicy! I can think of some Mexican candies that are that way - I've just never had that in an ice cream. This ice cream is regional? I wonder if I can find it at any Filipino places here!

No, it's the entire ice cream that is spicy. But if you can imagine the sweetness, coldness and the spiciness blended, you can more or less know that it is delicious. The coldness somehow dilutes the spiciness when you are already eating it, yet it is still spicy.

I had written a post about how my niece was mixing curry with a sweet snack. I tried it myself and found it to be delicious. And your ice cream must be tasting great too.

@moffittjc Oh yes, the coldness of the ice cream somehow dilutes the spiciness and that is what makes this ice cream unique.

@SIMPLYD The only bad part about eating spicy foods is the "heat" that you experience afterward. I wonder if eating spicy ice cream will help minimize the "heat" that is felt from the spices? I would think the cold ice cream would offset the effects of the spices!
