I need all the luck I could get right now.
First, I lost one of my 3 part time jobs. So I'm broke. BUT relieved cause I hated that job anyway.
Second, my brother suprised me with the news that he is graduating in March instead of October. Which means, I have not set aside enough money to get ready for this sudden flight back home. BUT relieved because finally I can see him graduate. AND I cashed in my unused leave credits from the job which fired me and used that to buy return tickets.
Then BAM, my dad lost his phone and needs a new one. So guess who's buying?
ME! BUT thank God I am getting support from my in laws so I know I'll always have a roof on top of my head and free food - delicious at that.
Things are not awesome right now but I am grateful. I believe in a divine provider and that really keeps me positive. Things will be okay.
The sage is believed to dispel any evil entities in the home. But this one I'll use to marinate pork with.

I can only think of one reason.
That evil spirit wasn't "superstitious"

I wouldn't waste good salt and spice for evil spirits. I prefer it on food.

Oh well there you go, I learn a new thing everyday.
Sorry if I only know maple about Canada. Such a stereotypical thought.

There's always bright side to things. We just have to make a conscious effort of recognizing them. At times when things are so bad (and sad), it's hard to see the silver lining but it's there.
