So when I go to my babies appointments I see that most parents give their children the cellphone. Which I think is really bad. In the clinic they can ask for colors and drawing so children could color. I have seen that when their parents don't want to give them the cell they start crying and screaming. Sometimes they like throw themselves to the floor. But is not the children fault why???? Because parents are allowing it to happen . What do you think????

I agree! I just spent close to 3 hours at the last appointment. I went in early in case they needed paperwork done (about 15 minutes ahead) and nearly an hour after the first appointment, was one kid called. In all that time, there was no need for a phone. They have books to read, kids to talk to, and all 3 of my girls behaved great. Its the parents who use a phone as a babysitter/parent because they don't want to engage with their own kids!

Sometimes I like being old school with that. Basic activities for kids that develop their thinking and general well being are far better in my opinion. It also promotes bonding unlike if you leave kids to gadgets.

I spend less time worrying about what others do these days, and I am happier for it. =) I worry about my own parenting.

I think that it is silly to let a child win over this. He or she should not play with a cellphone.

Bad parenting. But some parents have need of parenting lessons themselves. Probably had bad role models as children. Some parents overcompensate and therefore harm the child more. Not everyone can be a good parent. But it is a skill that can be learnt .
