I'm having a problem with my 4 year old. She will not listen, rebels against authority, and throws tantrums. I'm at my wits end. What can I do to improve her behavior?

Welcome to my world. I have two of them. My 4 year old is the same way. I have tried every tactic and nothing works. I usually tell her when shes screaming that I cant understand her unless she quits crying and uses her words. I also find she does a lot better if there is some sort of schedule in the house hold.

Call up Super Nanny! I really have no idea. She seems to be great, though. Worth a try?

i am having them same problem with my 4 year old sometimes if i treat her like shes a big girl it helps, but most of the time she dosen't listen. the only time she is very good is when her dad is home.
something to try is a sticker board, you and her make it together and write a list of things for her to do or rules and daily for each one she does let her put a sticker on then when she gets so many she gets a reward ya know something inexpensive but she will regonize the point of where good behavior gets her.
i did this for a while and it worked great i just kinda lost track i need to start it again

I had a child just like her, my middle child was a PILL. You need to whisper.....so quietly that she has to quiet down to hear you. My kids don't listen if I yell, they get scared when I start to whisper. A time out corner is good for tantrums. At 4 it is hard to find something that you can take away to curb the fits. Mine are older, and the television is a perfect tools for controlling bad behavior.

I would give her some time out in her room sitting on her bed and tell her to think about the way she is behaving. When she calms down she can come out of her room, I hope this helps.
