I won't do anything out of the ordinary. Valentine's Day is spilling into countries where it has no tradition supported by business. It's the same with Halloween.

@fatmahabo What has Valentine's Day to do with Love? You can show your love any day, can't you?

@MALUSE Yeh but some of us need a reminder from time to time to show our love to the people close to us and even to remind them that we will always do :)

Valentine's Day is traffic day, crowded mall day, fully booked restaurants day, crowded park day, almost all people are outside day.

@fatmahabo It's true. It is more practical and inexpensive.

Yes you're right. But I am the kind of person that makes good plans indoors for special occasions. It is more calme and comfortable.

The holiday is definitely very commercialized and businesses make loads of money off of it. Still, I like to celebrate it. I don't need a gift or a card (though would appreciate both). All I want is flowers and a dinner out. Hubby is not really for going out on V Day because of the hiked prices at restaurants on their V Day special menu. But I want to go out to dinner. Hasn't always happened or happened they way I wanted it to.

@fatmahabo Thanks! My hubby didn't mention any plans for V Day, so I am thinking he planned nothing. And he didn't ask me about what we are doing on V Day, so perhaps he doesn't want to do anything and just eat at home...

Flowers and chocolate's price would certainly be up high on the market...lover's don't mind as they give what is best for their love ones...like friends. families and best friends. It still be a work day for me and also a day for ASH WEDNESDAY...

Here in the Philippines, families celebrate it in group. Though couples can choose to go by themselves for it to be romantic. My daughter when she was growing up would always come with us to eat dinner on Valentine's day. This year we went to a hotel and had an acoustic dinner. Hubby and I went with his brother and wife and also their 82 year old aunt. It was an enjoyable Valentine's dinner date filled with romantic songs of our times.

I will not do anything. it will be just another day of the week. Don`t need Valentine`s Day to tell someone i love them. I do that everyday.
