Day 12
Daniel 12
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Everyone wants to know when the end will come. Books are written about it. Movies are made concerning it. However, no one knows the day or hour when it will happen.
Gabriel finished his vision with Daniel concerning the end times, giving him only a vague idea when it would occur. He was given two numbers. One number regards the daily sacrifice, and the other is the number of days = 3.5 years – which is half the Tribulation. Then he told Daniel the words were sealed until the time of the end.
As Christians, you know the end is coming. Jesus foretold it, and gave John the revelation concerning it.
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
The entire book of Revelation deals with the Tribulation and what will occur in those seven years, which is divided between the Tribulation and Great Tribulation. It was that which Gabriel told Daniel would happen, but the book was sealed until the end when people would gain understanding of the events to come.
Some people believe the end will never come. However, God assures us it will.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (KJV)
God wants everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Not everyone has heard the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ and his love for them. When everyone has heard, then the end will come. You just need patience.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for your love for me and all people. Give me patience, as I wait for the day when Jesus returns for his church, and judgment comes to those who rejected your Son in the Tribulation of this world. Until then, let hope rise in every heart that knows you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Valerie, you're so right. People say, "Jesus hasn't returned in all this time, so why believe he will?" But they don't understand that God is giving as many as possible time to repent before it's too late.

@just4him That school shooting was so tragic. I know we're all praying for the families.

@1creekgirl Yes, it was. I'm still seeing headlines for it coming across my computer. My heart goes out to the families. Yes, prayers are much needed. I'm adding mine.

This was recently talked about in the rock painting group. That there really is a feeling in the air so to speak about how things taking place in the world, just makes it feel darker and closer to some of the signs mentioned in the bible. That its ever important to spread Gods word and help direct people to Jesus' teachings and God.

It's good to know people are paying attention to what's happening and are able to correlate it to the Bible and the signs of Jesus' return. It's important we spread God's Word. It's the only way people will know there's a loving God. Have a blessed day.
