Have you ever been cheated online?

These days, I've seen many sites offering part-time jobs such as 'Data Entry' and so on. I have also recently joined a data entry job where I had to pay 1000 rupees (15 dollars). I did that transaction and got the job to type 400 pages in 20 days. I sacrificed my MyLot time and some other stuff only to focus on this data entry job. But their guidelines were so strict and some of the options I couldn't even find in MS Windows. However, I did my best and sent them. Then they did something called 'Quality Check' but they gave hundreds of reasons that didn't even exist in their guidelines and did not pay me. Later I checked online about these types of jobs and most of the comments were negative. Have you people ever tried these types of online jobs and got cheated?

I did a mistake investing online. Not going to repeat the same mistake again. It's a good lesson though

Luckily I have not tried them. I avoid sites that ask money first before they give you the job. But I have been cheated by other scammers a long time ago

The very FIRST basic rule about online jobs (or any job, for that matter) is that you should NEVER, EVER pay someone to give you work. If the job is worth doing and genuine, then it will pay you (if you meet the standards required, of course). Companies which charge a fee to give you work (or worse still, ask you to pay money for 'training') are very clearly relying on gullible people to pay them a non-returnable fee in order to fund their business, not on the commissions honestly earned from suuplying work to freelancers.

I first called the number provided by them and they said me to make the deposit first and they will provide me all information. But the information and guidelines were way complicated.

I'm sorry you got cheated or felt you got cheated. I have never experienced such at all as I have never really tried earning online. Being in mylot is not earning for me, it's just having fun. Bubblews had a terrible effect on its members when it stopped paying but I left bubblews before they changed their policy. So I wasn't a victim there at all.

Those rules are strict but complicated too. Some rules don't even exist in our computer system.

yes at first few cheated me in social networking group.May be i lack quality.Nowadays it was fine.I am only accepting orders which they offer advance payment. Atleast some paying half money as an advance. But now in freelancing sites this type of problems rarely occurs.
