Life working in a denim mill

It is loud. Earplugs required. Hearing tests annually.
It is dirty. Cotton dust and strings every where.
The work is hard and long. 12 hours a night doing the same job over and over.
But it is also interesting to see how far along looms have come. Or to be amazed that someone had invented a little machine that can tie 5000 knots in 15 minutes. Or to know that I had help make someones jeans or denim bag.
Yes I would rather spend all my time writing but I have never been without a job since I was 14 so I am here for now.

For a writer you use words sparingly, don't you? Your workplace sounds quite interesting.

The amount of words should fit the writing. I wanted to portray the loudness and activity with quick blurts.
If i was describing a slow lazy stream i would use longer sentences so it conveyed a feeling of slow winding.
Writing is not about the words it is an attempt to paint a picture or play a movie in the reader's mind so the words almost disappear while the reader gets lost in the story.
Most people in my physical life would disagree and tell you I never shut up.

@Gita17112016 My mother retired to this small town to live out in the country but soon needed some assistance so I moved her to help being the oldest of her 3 sons and the only one whose children are grown and on their own. So I moved here and lived a bit off of selling my house and royalties but still needed a steady income and the denim mill is the largest employer in the area so got stuck there.
As for the tie-in machine. It would be classified as an industrial robot I guess but it sits on a rack and moves around grabbing the strings and tie them which it can do at about 5000 in 15 minutes. This is not denim, nor the model we use but here is a video of a team racking a loom then the tie-in machine at work:

@JAWwriting Wow! You post just became SUPER interesting. Why didn't you present your post in this manner? I think you would have gotten so many readers. I like stuff like this. Pity you think your job is boring and that you got stuck in a rut.
The video did not play all the way but I get the idea. I love creative inventions and tools that make work so much easier. I am one of those people who think ALL WORK IS SACRED. Done properly work can be so satisfying...off course the trick is to live in the moment.
Here is another question for you. Why is there little or no readers in your posts? I think you have interesting material post to stimulate conversation.
