Street dog biting and Elephant attack reports are increasing here. I want to know how will you protect if you are chased by a dog , bull or even wild animals in Safari. Do you have any experience in your tours ?

I think the dogs there might have rabies. Is that true? Thankfully we don't have too many wild animals here and not too many dog attacks.

@JudyEv Can you say is it from Kerala or the front side of the elephant is decorated? We can't predict if the elephant get wild. But people are so connected to enjoy elephants here.

That's good to hear that. All the attacking dogs have not rabies. I think the slaughter house waste they get easy made them wild nature. There are so many elephants and Mahouts in Kerala , mainly used for temple fest.If the elephant is not cared well, they show their attacking tendency.

I would want to be in a vehicle where wild animals couldn't hurt me.

When I take early morning walks or jogs, I always carry a retractable baton, in some cases I carry pepper spray or what Filipinos call tear gas. I have no plans of going on jungle Safari lol, I love wild animals but if there's a real danger I'd bring along my Colt. 45cal pistol

@shshiju baton is retractable like a telescopic antenna and would only extend if you flip it, it also comes with a holster if you choose to wear it. The pepper spray is small with a belt or pocket clip

We do not have this problem, so I never thought what to do in case an animal should attack. Usually I bring a walking stick with me, I think it would be enough for a dog.

If its a bull never run off if you can help it lie on the ground face down very still. Of course this is advice given by other people. As for dogs they are more unpredictable so here a lot of advice is given but I would not let a dog start to attack me if I could help it. Elephants are very scary if they are in a rage donĀ“t know about that one.

Fortunately I have no experience of that sort of thing. We don't have many dangerous animals in England.

I haven't been on a safari, but I'd try my best to ward off any vicious animal.
