Have you ever been bullied?

Have you ever been bullied, and what kind of bullying was it? Do you remember your childhood struggles with people who seemed like they had too much control over you? Was there a lot of hatred involved? Sometimes there is just too much that a person takes with them as they get older, and some things cannot be forgotten. Sometimes, thinking back on my own memories of it, I become quite upset, and I know that I never deserved that sort of treatment. I am a talented, smart, and special person. And, way too often, the people who are bullied are actually extremely good and special people. And the bullies are the opposite. Do you agree? What does this make you feel or remember?

No, I have not been bullied. Maybe because of my strong personality, and I was always ready to raise my hand on my offender. But I knew such kids and tried to talk to them so that they would not have felt too bad. I think it happened to them just because they could not reply strictly to their offenders... it depends on a character. I also tried to offend mentally their offenders Now I don't think that it was a good idea, as now I try to be sympathetic and understanding to all people

Bulling back can be very effective! And it actually does depend a lot on character, you're right. I was on the softer side, and not very willing to say mean things back, so it was harder to fight it off. It's good that things change! Haha.

I've never been bullied traumatically. Back when I was a kid, some street kids would attempt to bully me but I always fought back and they would back off. I never allowed anybody to bully me at all. Other kids told me I was so intimidating to be bullied. But I never bullied anybody at all. So I never have a particular memory or emotion about being bullied.

@Katzab7 That's good. Even as a kid I hate being put down. Nobody could ever do that to me. And I don't give a damn how big or strong you are, if you bully me, I will always fight back in whatever way and show you that I'm not someone to be treated badly. My parents always taught us never to start a fight but at the same time they taught us how to defend ourselves.

I see... It's amazing how strong you are! It's hard to be strong when people are trying to tear you down, and you are small and young, and don't have much to fight back with. It could feel very debilitating. Although I didn't fight back like you did, I always had my own way to recovery. :) I was just a very happy and strong person from within.

I know how you feel since many bullies want to take down people who are better than they are in terms of being smart in school. I remember self help speaker Robert Kiyosaki calling it "The Legend Of The Black Crab" where one black crab who is in the bottom of a barrel climbs up to the top of the barrel and tells his fellow crabs that he can see daylight. The other crabs drag him down since they want to stay in the darkness instead of the light.

Very interesting thoughts... I never thought that anyone at school might be trying to drag me down because I'm smarter in school. I just thought that they were horrible people at the time, and all I knew was, I was afraid. And, that wise legend is very insightful. I'll remember that for sure. Thank you!

in high school when i was a freshman, some guy tried to scare/tease/bully me by showing me a pocket knife and making little lunges at me as if he were going to stab me. ii laughed at him, and showed him my 7 inch pocket knife. that was the last time he ever looked in my direction.

That is frightening, and possibly dangerous. If someone did that to me in school when I was younger, I would consider transferring schools!

I was a fat kid off and on so people were cruel but I do not remember that. I had this couple that lived above me for two years and they used to bother me anyway they could and I hated them and hoped they would move. Now, we have one person above us and he is just as jerky as them making noise whenever he wants and does not care.
